"both soft + fierce can coexist and still be powerful" - Danielle Doby; I Am Her Tribe

// The Start of Something New //
From sunny San Diego, California, to Austin, Texas, my life path has been interesting, and yet, I’m humbly reminded how we, as a collective, are experiencing this thing called “life” together. Life… it’s quite a precious yet funny thing, isn’t it? Life has been my best friend, lover, guardian angel, and enemy throughout various phases of my life.
When truly, life itself was (and is) always my greatest confidant.
As I write this, I can’t help but wonder, what is “true to me?” Who am I?
And, that’s when Soft Cultivation was born. A digital garden where we explore slow living, softness as strength, and the rituals that keep us rooted.
For most of my life, I have felt the need to be “perfect” with everything I touch. I have been programed and conditioned by a society whose main objective is to obtain status; that a title defines who I am. That label forcefully tattooed on my soul instead of seeking the imprint that already exists. I’ve kept my soul quiet. I pushed her to the side because I didn’t feel worthy of being seen; my title was my shield.
This is the journey of becoming unapologetically vulnerable.
It’s now or never, and I choose the former. I believe life is about learning who you are — it’s not about finding yourself, it’s about exploring yourself. The depth of who you are and not just what lies on the surface.
Softly cultivating into learning more about the philosophy of you, which is life’s true beauty.
Softness is strength. It’s rebellion to the ordinary.
